Volunteers Needed!
Are you weary of political shenanigans, the barrage of bad news from around the world, and falling oil prices? Nocona Lucky Paws is offering you an escape from the daily grind with FREE DOG THERAPY! All you have to do is come to the Lucky Paws Animal Shelter & Adoption Center and get a dose of a happy dog! We are at the shelter 7 days a week around 8:30am - feeding, cleaning, and playing with the gang. We built a new play yard for all our dogs, and we guarantee it will change your mood dramatically to spend even thirty minutes with these great dogs! Just wear your washable clothing and muck shoes, and come on out! For more information, call (940) 867-5015.
A huge shout out and thanks goes to all the people in the trenches at Lucky Paws, as they care for the dogs brought to the city shelter every day of the week. They clean the pens, walk the dogs, feed and water them, and run them to the vet for shots and spay/neutering. Before our new shelter was completed, they even took pups home when storms were coming to keep them warm and dry and safe - and they work tirelessly to find homes for them!
And accolades to our foster parents who we call in emergency situations - they come running! Please consider fostering a dog so that they can get a break from the shelter and become more acclimated to life with their own family! We have many wonderful, fun, happy dogs! Come by and see us!
